PURINA WIND & RAIN
For over 125 years Purina’s goal has been to provide a quality product with the intent to bring out the best in the animals it is being fed to. The Wind and Rain value-added program puts that intent into action, working with producers to gain recognition for feeding a quality mineral to their cattle. Thousands of producers across the nation have viewed the benefits of feeding Wind and Rain firsthand through Purina’s Proof Pays trials. These trials show consistent consumption, which helps translate to success in the pasture and future production phases.
To qualify for the program, the calves must be raised on dams fed a Wind and Rain® or RangeLand® Pro mineral product for a year prior and were fed a Wind and Rain® mineral, RangeLand® Pro mineral, or a Purina Stress Tub® product themselves prior to delivery date. Purina Dealers will work with Superior Reps to authenticate that a producer purchased the appropriate amount of mineral per the calves being marketed.
PREDICTIVE PERFORMANCE 90- RIOMAX
WHAT DOES THIS CERTIFICATION COVER?
This certification is strictly for animals that have access to the Riomax® Tubs for a minimum of 90 days prior to the date of the sale.
WHY 90 DAYS?
While a year-round approach (Predictive Performance 365) is without a doubt the optimum herd health program for the compounding effects of good sound nutrition, there are situations where for certain reasons the animals are not able to have access year-round. With Predictive Performance 90 certified cattle, you can be assured the animals have been on Riomax for at least 90 days which is sufficient time to greatly enhance gut health and bolster immune status and performance.
WHAT IS RIOMAX?
Riomax® is an all-natural herd health program that qualifies for NHTC and GAP. Riomax® products contain no hormones, no antibiotics, and no animal by-products. Riomax products contain a complete vitamin-mineral package as well as an advanced multi-component digestion pack. Riomax is highly concentrated with a low consumption by design.

Superior Livestock is proud to announce the Gain Smart Value Added program with BioZyme, Inc. Since 1995, Value Added Calf programs have created premiums when calves sell on Superior’s video auctions. Traditionally when ranchers think of adding value it is derived from a quality health program dependent upon vaccinations, but together Superior and BioZyme, Inc. are putting a new twist on creating premiums for healthier cattle through a mineral supplement nutrition program. BioZyme is an innovative company in the agricultural fields of livestock nutrition and animal microbiology. BioZyme is well known for their VitaFerm mineral product and for Amaferm which is a natural feed additive that acts as a prebiotic and is included in their many products.
The goal of Gain Smart is to grow healthy calves and to identify cattle on the program as they sell on Superior to create a premium from a recognizable nutrition "Value Added" program. Gain Smart targets stockers and feeders and will recognize calves that have been fed a Gain Smart mineral for a minimum of 45 days prior to auction and thru delivery. Once cattle are identified for the program on the consignment contracts the Gain Smart value added logo will show up in Superior’s catalogs and on-screen as the cattle sell.
